- Lead all efforts to grow basketball participation across schools, camps, and programs.
- Proactively connect with schools and community groups to promote basketball and secure new opportunities.
- Oversee delivery of engaging school clinics, assemblies, and promotional sessions to introduce basketball to large groups of students.
- Build and manage a schools engagement calendar to ensure maximum coverage across the year.
- Track, report, and meet participation growth targets set by the association.
- Work closely with the Junior Domestic Competition Administrator to convert program participants into competition players, ensuring strong links between camps, clinics, and junior competitions.
- Create clear entry pathways from school programs into association camps, clinics, and competitions.
- Develop innovative new initiatives that attract first-time participants.
- Act as a visible and enthusiastic ambassador for the association.
- Promote programs confidently in person, on the phone, and online.
- Build strong relationships with teachers, principals, and community leaders to open doors for basketball programs.
- Work with the Media Coordinator to deliver campaigns that convert interest into registrations.
- Maintain strong follow-up processes to ensure new participants are encouraged to return.
- Administer and coordinate all programs, camps, and clinics from start to finish.
- Manage registrations, communication, and on-the-day logistics.
- Support and oversee coaches to ensure quality delivery and safe environments.
- Ensure programs are enjoyable, inclusive, and encourage repeat participation.
- Provide exceptional service to schools, parents, and participants.
- Act as the first point of contact for enquiries, ensuring quick and professional responses.
- Gather and analyse feedback to continually improve programs.
- Ensure all programs meet child safety and risk management standards.
- Maintain accurate records of participation, permissions, and incidents.
- Support compliance with Working with Children and other legal requirements.
- Proven ability to drive growth and meet participation targets.
- Confident public speaker who can engage and energise school groups.
- Sales-oriented mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple programs and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Passion for sport, community, and creating opportunities for young people.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online registration systems (PlayHQ or similar desirable).
- Employee Working with Children Check (mandatory).
- First Aid & CPR (mandatory).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in sport management, sales, education, or recreation (desirable but not essential).
- Experience in community sport, program sales, or school engagement highly regarded.
- Part-time: 25 hours per week.
- Reports to: Operations Manager.
