
Systems Administrator

- Partner with solution architects, engineers, and other technical experts to design and implement cyber security solutions.
- Work within a secure, defense-accredited environment to minimise vulnerabilities and maximise the resiliency of critical systems.
- Implement and configure Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions.
- Apply security hardening techniques to both applications and infrastructure.
- Use scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible) to automate system administration tasks and security controls.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities using tools like Nessus, Qualys, or OpenVAS.
- Produce clear and concise documentation.
- Undertake occasional ad-hoc tasks outside of core business hours (e.g., system upgrades).
- Deep experience with both Windows and Linux environments.
- Proficiency in using vulnerability scanning tools.
- Proficiency using scripting languages.
- Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) in a secure environment.
- Previous experience in a defense or government environment is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator) are a plus.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Currently or recently held NV1 or NV2 clearance is required.
