$55phr + OT + SuperannuationJob Summary:Working with a modern FMCG manufacturing business, this role is responsible for ensuring all electrical systems, production equipment, and machinery operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food industry standards. The ideal candidate will be electrical trade certified with experience in a manufacturing setting, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and improvement.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in motors, control panels, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, conveyors, and other food processing machinery.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical wiring, components, and control systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Collaborate with mechanical technicians and production staff to minimize equipment downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and system updates accurately using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Assist with equipment commissioning, calibration, and safety inspections.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, OSHA).
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Electrical Trade Certified
- 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG preferred but not essential).
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs and automation controls.
