Further information is available at: .The opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to join the Siemens Mobility team in Port Melbourne, Victoria. The graduate manufacturing engineer will produce or revise mechanical or electrical engineering documents including CAD models, drawings, bills of material (BOMs) and specifications.Areas of Responsibility:

Act as a liaison between Product Engineering, R&D and Operations
Learn processes, tools, systems used by Engineering, R&D and Manufacturing
Configures the products according to the requirements or product change requests.
Documenting critical manufacturing processes and implementing Standard operating Procedures
Partner with Engineering and R&D to ensure new products are being designed for manufacturing and suitable for factory
Assist Sales and end customers to expedite products when required while documenting changes for tracking and traceability
Implement LEAN manufacturing principles to improve shopfloor productivity
Review designs for design for manufacturing and design for maintenance perspective and provide constructive feedback.
Create Manufacturing Bill of Materials in ERP systems and ensure Product build is always as per Engineering requirements and approvals.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering. Similar qualifications may be accepted.
AS1100 knowledge essential.
Mechanical drafting and manufacturing experience essential: metal fabrication, sheet metal, machining detail, threads, and welding designations.
3D experience essential.
The ability to apply engineering first principles such as stress analysis and analysis of materials and finishes.
Experience working with an ERP system is a plus, experience with SAP is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The salary range for this position is between AUD 80,000 - 90,000.What We Offer
