
Business Development / Capture Manager (ANZ)

- Maintain strong relationships across the CAE D&S business units to ensure that ANZ can support in-service support for DCS and FMS opportunities in region.
- Support the development and positioning of CAE capabilities to win opportunities within the ANZ D&S market.
- Maintain intimate awareness of competitive market offerings and new technologies.
- Identify and prioritise threats and opportunities for CAE across CAE ANZ target markets.
- Maintain and enhance the Company’s strategic position in the market by influencing customer procurement policy development and implementation through:
- Developing and maintaining customer and end-user relationships;
- Public relations and media campaigns; and
- Stakeholder and political strategic analysis
- Defined External communication plan
- Support the M&A effort for CAE ANZ through identification, qualification and business case development and execution of M&A targets.
- Maintain and enhance the Company’s reputation with customers through regular contact with key customer and industry executives.
- Provide direct in-country support to the Country Manager (ANZ) locally, regionally and globally as required.
- Build a strong, trust based relationship with the VP Emerging Markets and other members of the D&S Business Development Team
- Minimum 10 years pertinent general defence experience across operations, training or support.
- Able to hold an appropriate level of Australian/ New Zealand security classification
- Experience operating at an executive / senior level (not necessarily in a BD or Sales/Marketing position)
- Tertiary qualifications in a technical field or Business, MBA
- Sales/marketing experience especially related to the Defence domain
- Experience of business Capture Manager for a major capital acquisition program
- Led or participated in significant CASG (ASDEFCON) Defence Bids
- Driven, motivated, positive, high energy with outstanding influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strong skills in strategic partnering, teaming agreements and subcontract positioning.
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Commercial and business acumen coupled with balanced negotiation capabilities.
- Strong financial literacy leading financial model development, estimating, cost rollups and proactive risk management.
- Location : Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane or Wellington
