  • Perform specialised clinical pharmacy tasks in accordance with SHPA Clinical Practice Standards and SVHS procedures, including comprehensive medication review, therapeutic drug monitoring, and optimisation of cancer therapies to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication use.
  • Oversee the end-to-end medication management process-reviewing, validating, compounding, dispensing, and checking of chemotherapy and supportive medicines-to support timely therapy initiation and facilitate smooth patient flow within oncology wards and outpatient clinics.
  • Mentor and provide day-to-day supervision for pharmacists, interns, and pharmacy technicians within the Cancer Care team, promoting clinical excellence, performance optimisation, and professional development through knowledge sharing and effective leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Leadership Team in developing and maintaining standards of practice, clinical guidelines, and formulary processes. Contribute to departmental initiatives in medication safety, quality use of medicines, staff education, and practice-based research to support innovation and best-practice oncology care.
  • Support continuous service improvement and alignment with SVHS goals by contributing to the planning, development, and delivery of high-quality, patient-centred clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient Cancer Care settings.
  • This position is based at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre (TKCC), a joint facility between St Vincent's Hospital Sydney and The Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
  • The TKCC Pharmacy provides services to the Nelune Outpatient Day Clinic, as well as clinical services to a dedicated inpatient Haematology and BMT unit, and supports medical oncology inpatients across the hospital.
About You:
  • Registered Pharmacist with AHPRA (no conditions on practice), eligible for Grade 2 classification under the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award, and available for weekend and on-call rostered duties as required.
  • Strong alignment with the Mission, Philosophy, and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia, underpinned by high personal integrity.
  • High-level clinical expertise, judgment, and competence in Cancer Care pharmacy services, with thorough knowledge of relevant governance, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • An effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage meaningfully with patients.
  • Highly organised with a strong ability to manage complex workloads, showing excellent time management, attention to detail, and a commitment to professional growth and continuous development.
