Working for WDHS will enable you to pursue your profession, build your career and enjoy a great work/life balance.Find out more atYou will be working alongside experienced, passionate leadership peers who are true to our values of Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and EmpathyAbout the roleOur psychologist works within the Complex Care team to assess clients who present with physical and psychological difficulties, conduct psychological tests and interviews, develop a care plan with reference to the client's goals, and provide psychological interventions/ therapy using a biopsychosocial framework.Interventions will include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, chronic disease management, relaxation therapy, grief and loss therapy, trauma therapy, stress management, pain and weight management.The goal of psychological assessment and therapy in the context of this role is disease/illness prevention, management, and recovery. These activities are conducted within the context of a multidisciplinary approach to care when that is appropriate for the client, to promote access to psychological careYou will bring
  • Experience in Clinical or Health psychology (highly desirable)
  • Highly effective interpersonal and team skills
  • The requirement for General registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA)
