- Responsible for activation, verification and delivery of the analysis output to the customers in accordance with SOP while adhering to the established service level agreement
- Actively participates in live operations, conducting real-time flood analysis and delivery activities while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Contributes to meeting and exceeding KPIs. Monitors metrics and contributes to KPI reviews. Keeps tools updated with accurate information about progress and status
- Follows standard process and procedures to ensure quality and consistency of the product.
- Manages own workload effectively, cooperates with the Solutions Delivery Manager on planning the work.
- Proactively raises issues and suggests resolutions, resolves small scale operational issues independently
- Provides updates on progress, issues, help needed, and communicates with the team effectively on the tasks. Assists in organising and facilitating daily standups.
- Performs quality checks and feedback on errors in analysis and delivery
- Suggest improvements, collaborate on implementing improvements
- Contributes to achieving objectives set for the team
- Owns and follows agreed personal development plan
- Maintains accurate records of work progress, decisions and changes for reporting purposes
- Provides information to internal teams on specific deliverables or tasks ensuring clear communication and understanding. Follows established customer communication processes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, or a related field with 1-3 years GIS experience.
- Extensive experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing tools for geospatial analysis and data visualization
- Strong understanding of geospatial concepts, coordinate systems, cartography, and spatial analysis techniques
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills, especially under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, including with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to organize and deliver time-critical work
- Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement
- Ability to work effectively during high-stress situations and emergency response operations
- Maintain a collaborative mindset and actively support team goals
- Operational GIS role experience
- Natural catastrophe knowledge or experience
- Python scripting experience
- AWS CLI experience
- SAR experience
- Experience with database principles, including the ability to query and integrate data using PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with real time geospatial data sources and tools for monitoring natural disasters
