The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, ensuring that they are of high quality and consistent with our restaurant's standards.Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori dishes, and vegetarian options- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to our restaurant's standards and recipes- Monitor and maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new and innovative dishes- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff- Adhere to all food and hygiene regulations and standardsRequirements:- Proven experience as a Cook in a similar role, preferably in an Indian restaurant- Knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks- Excellent time management and organisational skills- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Certificate III in commercial cookery or above- Food safety and hygiene certification- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and eveningsContract Details:This is a full-time position with a salary range of $74,000 to $78,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
