- Shape program strategy & scope: Frame strategic options, recommend sequencing/prioritisation and secure Executive endorsement.
- Design interim & target operating models: Integrate process, people, data and technology; produce clear, evidence-based designs that underpin high-quality business cases.
- Own the integrated roadmap: Build and maintain a business + technology delivery roadmap; surface critical-path issues early and uphold high delivery standards.
- Quantify value: Build high-quality financial and scenario models; interpret complex data to test assumptions and inform investment decisions.
- Orchestrate transition readiness: Coordinate divisional prerequisites (workforce shape, banker/property footprint, flows, attrition) to enable smooth migration.
- Support delivery hand-off: Translate design choices for Discovery/Delivery teams to ensure speed, fidelity and quality of execution.
- Upskill & raise the bar: Coach Specialists/Managers in structured problem-solving, quantitative analysis and executive storytelling-embedding a culture of high standards.
- Collaborate across domains: Partner with design teams spanning Consumer, Business & Wealth, Operations and Group units (“Downstream”) to ensure alignment and leverage.
- Experience: 5-8 years experience working on strategy for large-scale transformation programs, or strategy consulting.
- Problem-solving excellence: Uses structured logic and strategy frameworks to break down ambiguity; forms clear hypotheses, designs fact-based analyses and synthesises insights quickly to a high standard.
- Quantitative rigour: Builds robust, high-quality financial and scenario models; interprets large/complex datasets to drive sound decisions.
- Executive communication: Crafts concise, compelling ELT/Board packs that meet a high bar for clarity and drive timely decisions.
- Leadership: Leads teams/workstreams, coaches others and sets high performance standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Stakeholder influence: Builds trusted relationships across business, technology, finance and related functions; navigates competing priorities constructively.
