Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in providing timely, accurate reporting and analysis to enable sound decision-making and financial success. Your work will help drive control over merchandise and product costs, and support ongoing improvement in financial processes and outcomes.Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Commercial Finance Manager in the financial evaluation of Merchandise and Product departments, focusing on key cost drivers and performance opportunities
- Manage accurate financial accounting for the Merchandise and Product cost centres, including month-end processes, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Deliver monthly reporting for both Board and Management, ensuring insights are clear and actionable
- Provide ongoing financial support to the Merchandise and Product teams, helping to interpret financial data to support strategic and operational decisions
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for related business cost centres
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and projects to drive process improvements and add value to daily operations
- Collaborate with the broader Commercial Finance team as needed
The successful candidate will be CA or CPA qualified with experienced working within a product based environment, and have a thirst to work in a dynamic commercial environment. You are a big picture thinker who is able to reason at a conceptual level, while still maintaining a strong attention to detail. You have the confidence and credibility to engage effectively and build relationships with senior executives and can effectively manage multiple priorities, remaining poised and efficient under pressure. Experience in Merchandise is beneficial but not essential.How To Apply
