Start Date: ASAPRandstad is proud to partner with a Victorian State Government department to recruit an experienced Management Cost Accountant to support financial planning and investment analysis across IMT (Information Management & Technology) services. This is a specialist VPS5 opportunity with a strong focus on cost modelling, financial forecasting, and supporting business case development for key projects and services.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate detailed cost estimates for IMT services, including resources, software licences, and managed service providers.
- Lead the development of financial models to support new capabilities, emerging projects, and service catalogue initiatives.
- Deliver financial insights to support Directors in identifying cost efficiencies and productivity improvements.
- Support business case development with ROI and cost-benefit analysis.
- Monitor budgets, forecast expenditures, and report on cost variances.
- Collaborate with Finance and IMT teams to align financial planning with operational service delivery.
- Contribute to cross-branch initiatives with a focus on cost optimisation and improved resource allocation.
- Proven experience in cost modelling, financial forecasting, and business case support.
- Strong understanding of IMT services and investment analysis in a government context.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with operational and project stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- CPA/CA qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience in a Victorian Government department or statutory authority is highly regardedmand preferred.
