An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global fund manager, known for innovation and strong growth in recent years. This Sydney-based position will support the fund operations function, with responsibility for the daily workflow related to trade support and middle office processes.This role will be the primary point of contact supporting trading and portfolio management, while supporting a team responsible for key investment operations tasks including reconciliations, NAV/unit pricing oversight, settlements, and creation/redemption workflows.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily reconciliations, including performance, accounting, positions, corporate actions, loans, and cash.
- Oversee settlement processes, ensuring timely resolution of settlement fails and exceptions with custodians and counterparties.
- Manage NAV/unit pricing reviews, creation/redemption workflows, and monitor fund transactions and cash flows.
- Design and implement effective operational controls and procedures; ensure documentation is maintained and current.
- Be hands-on with all operational activities, with the ability to step in and perform any function as required.
- Build and manage external relationships including custodians and fund administrators.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including portfolio management, risk, compliance, legal, product, and marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an investment operations management position, ideally within ETFs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Proficient with Excel and Word; Bloomberg experience is advantageous.
