Job Category: Professional Services DeliveryJob Description:Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.We currently have an opportunity for a Data Manager to ensure the integrity, accessibility, and compliance of all project data for a Land project. This position can be based in Canberra or Melbourne.What You'll DoThis role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Ensure robust data governance by developing and maintaining workflows, practices, and systems for secure and efficient data creation, storage, retrieval, and sharing.
Support project compliance by applying and maintaining Project Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Enable team capability through technical assistance, training, and documentation to ensure best-practice use of Objective, SharePoint, DOORS, and other systems.
Collaborate across functions including engineering, ILS, security, and commercial teams to support data-related needs and ensure alignment with Defence frameworks.
Drive continuous improvement by analysing system performance, identifying opportunities for upgrades or new technologies, and resolving data-related issues.

What You'll Bring

Proven experience managing complex technical data in Defence or similar environments, with deep knowledge of QMS and ISO 9001.
Expertise in Defence data systems (Objective, SharePoint, DOORS) and configuration management practices.
Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
