Market leading and growing national civil contracting business with blue chip clients Engaged to deliver work, win work and grow the business into civil packages and associated electrical packages of onshore wind such as access roads, footings, cabling etc. $100m to $200m+ Time split between on site in Gippsland and the Melbourne office Great career progression and dynamic growth orientated environment The candidate will need experience delivering onshore Wind projects and ideally have a civil bias. Delivery of a major project will be the focus however may also be involved in the tendering and work winning elements too. Our client is a well-established and market leading national civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Director to join their growing business on projects based in Gippsland amongst other locations. Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining, resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a challenging projects. This role will be working on the civil & electrical packages associated with onshore wind projects and you will be responsible for delivering projects as may be involved in the tendering and work wining processes as well. You will be supported by an existing team and would probably grow that team as necessary. Projects will probably range in value from $100m to $200m+. The candidate needs to have experience delivering onshore wind projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Working on tenders Planning and scheduling of construction activities Management of site project teams Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management Preparation of management reports Resolving site issues in a timely manner Liaising with key clients and stakeholders Coordinating internal and external resources Business development Recruitment and mentoring of teams Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar 7-20+ years’ management experience with some experience on civil packages associated with onshore wind construction projects Project management qualifications will be advantageous Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate Effective problem-solving abilities Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations High level of organisation and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills If you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, click on “Apply” to submit your resume.
