They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with at least three years’ industry experience to join their growing team. In this role, you’ll blend technical work with site travel, applying your expertise across a variety of industries including mining, energy and oil & gas.You’ll take ownership of engineering deliverables, manage client relationships, and contribute to delivering commercially valuable outcomes for both Waterline and their clients.Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and modify electrical designs, calculations, reports, and drawings.
- Ensure compliance with Australian legislation, standards, and client specifications.
- Apply engineering software such as PTW or PowerCAD to design and assess compliance.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining quality outcomes.
- Engage in project activities including estimation, scope and schedule development, and client liaison.
- Travel to client sites for audits, commissioning, operational support, and relationship management.
- Communicate technical decisions clearly to both internal teams and clients.
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical).
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in electrical engineering.
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Electrical design and compliance assessments (PTW/PowerCAD).
- Earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Hazardous Area design or auditing.
- Industrial control infrastructure and communication systems.
- Compliance assessments of equipment and systems against Australian Standards/Regulations.
- Strong project engineering or project management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple priorities with strong organisation and problem-solving ability.
- Exposure to mining, energy, oil & gas, or heavy industry (desirable).
- Site-based experience (desirable).
