- Conducting customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced customer due diligence (ECDD) for high-risk clients, including documentation review, risk screening, and open-source research.
- Monitoring client transactions and behaviour to identify potential money laundering or terrorism financing risks.
- Escalating and reporting suspicious matters to AUSTRAC in line with regulatory requirements.
- Performing PEP and sanctions screening and supporting the development of transaction monitoring rules.
- Collaborating with global compliance teams to ensure financial crime risks are identified and addressed.
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the refinement of AML/CTF processes and assurance frameworks.
- Advising internal stakeholders on due diligence protocols and risk-based decisions.
- Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, business, or a related field.
- Experience in AML/CTF compliance, investigations, or client onboarding (preferred but not essential).
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive conversations.
- Confidence working with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word.
