
Senior Security Engineer - Firewall Security

- Partner with engineering and platform teams to embed security into solution design and delivery lifecycles.
- Lead the implementation of security controls within cloud, DevOps, and network environments.
- Provide technical consulting and design input across security and network platforms.
- Support deployments and changes — including some flexibility for after-hours work as required.
- Operate as a subject matter expert, working autonomously and collaboratively within an Agile team.
- Contribute to the evaluation and integration of emerging technologies, tools, and best practices.
- 5–8+ years of experience in network security, cloud security, or infrastructure security roles.
- Strong experience with one or more major firewall platforms (e.g. Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, Juniper, Checkpoint).
- Solid hands-on skills in routing & switching (e.g. OSPF, BGP, VLANs, port channels, VRFs).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure) and CI/CD or DevOps security practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Exposure to SR-MPLS or carrier-grade networking.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or similar.
- Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) or scripting for security use cases.
