The FirmP&E Law is a highly respected boutique law firm specialising in planning, environment, native title and energy and resources law.With an enviable client base, P&E Law is highly respected in their field. Whilst practicing State-wide, the firm has three offices located in Brisbane, Maroochydore and Cairns.The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate lawyer to join our Energy and Resources team in our Brisbane office. The role will provide regular opportunities for travel out to the Surat Basin and beyond to service our rural clients.Candidates with previous exposure to energy and resources law or with a background in commercial, property or rural/agribusiness law will be highly regarded but not essential.The work will include (but is not limited to):
  • negotiating agreements for coal seam gas, mining and exploration activities, renewable energy projects for landholders;
  • providing advice to landholders about matters under the Water Act including representation in the Land Court and assistance with Make Good Agreements;
  • reviewing and advising on rural lease agreements, compulsory acquisition and other related matters;
  • carbon abatement and offset agreements;
  • vegetation management; and
  • water resources.
