
Assistant Manager - Guest Relations (Culturist)

- Analyse and oversee pre-arrival reservation procedures - from initial pre-arrival enquiry and contact, to personalisation of guest stay as a means of reconfirming stay arrangements and offering any additional assistance.
- Conduct, design and provide an articulate and interesting tour of Capella Sydney. This will involve storytelling, facts, information and interesting perspectives on the Education Building.
- Continuously innovative, create and design interesting travel experiences within the hotel, surrounding the hotel and provide expert advice on experiences that represent the values of the Capella Hotel Group.
- Work exceptionally closely with the Chief Culturist on programming Daily Rituals, Moments & Curates to deliver a never before seen product offering.
- Ensure Forbes guidelines are paramount in the daily dealings within our operations from The Living Room management to our guest experience throughout the property.
- Ensure Capella Rituals/Moments are well executed, programmed and guests are registered accordingly through technology applications.
- Monitor and control monthly departmental expenses and support the higher management in Rooms Division budget and forecast report.
- Ensure all team members recognizes the importance of and Forbes standards as to deliver excellent audit and service performance.
- Heavily contribute to new and innovative training programs through effective updating of training certification manual (TCM).
- Ensure thorough on boarding of each Culturist colleague as well as implementing a balanced training program for all staff to experience and demonstrate the exceptional competencies of the Culturist and showcase The Living Room.
- Tertiary Education preferably in Hotel/Hospitality Management.
- 2 years' experience in a similar role at luxury hotels or resorts.
- Concierge experience is advantageous.
- Executive Lounge, Front Desk, or Guest Services preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly nature; skilled at building strong, lasting relationships with guests.
- Very good command of spoken and written English.
- Knowledge in Property Management System (e.g. OPERA).
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
