Partnering with leaders and staff to provide timely HR advice and guidance across the employee life cycle, ensuring consistency and compliance with policies and legislation.
Supporting employee life cycle processes such as flexible work, leave, progression eligibility, role movements and offboarding.
Contributing to the development of HR policies, procedures and key People projects.
Preparing workforce reports to support decision-making in line with relevant legislation.
Assisting the recruitment team with processes on an as-needed basis.

What you will bring to the role

Demonstrated experience delivering a broad range of HR generalist services.
Ability to interpret and apply legislation, enterprise agreement provisions and policies to provide advice and contribute to procedure development.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to produce meaningful workforce reports.
Commitment to the VEC's core values.
