With a national presence and a culture built on collaboration, innovation, and inclusion, they deliver outstanding legal services to a wide range of corporate, public sector, and private clients-both Australian-based and international.On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior Associate to join their Corporate & Commercial team in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a highly regarded Partner leading the NSW branch of the China Desk and be involved in significant international and domestic M&A matters.Benefits:

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Advising on domestic and international corporate/M&A transactions, including due diligence, drafting, and negotiating acquisition and disposal documents.
  • Managing cross-border transactions, joint ventures, and foreign investment regulatory approvals (including FIRB).
  • Advising on corporate governance, corporate restructuring, licensing, and general contracting arrangements.
  • Collaborating with the Partner and senior lawyers on complex, high-value matters.
  • Building strong client relationships with listed companies, insurers, financial institutions, private equity-backed businesses, capital providers, and large private companies.
  • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting junior lawyers within the team.
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
  • Minimum 5 years' post-admission experience in corporate & commercial law, ideally within a large national or international firm.
  • Demonstrated expertise in M&A transactions, including due diligence, drafting, and negotiating acquisition and disposal documents.
  • Experience advising on corporate governance, restructuring, and regulatory approvals (including FIRB).
  • Strong technical, analytical, and drafting skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage complex domestic and international corporate matters while building strong client relationships.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
