We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.What you'll do:We're looking for a Senior Mining Engineer with strong technical acumen and a passion for delivering innovative solutions. Whether you're focused on open cut or underground operations, this is your opportunity to join a diverse and supportive team working across the full project lifecycle; from concept studies through to execution support.
  • Prepare and review mine design for open pit and/or underground mines, scheduling, optimisation, equipment selection, operating and capital cost estimates.
  • Conduct technical work in support of due diligence reviews, supporting mergers and acquisitions under the supervision of Principal &/or Lead Engineers.
  • Prepare tenders, proposals and reports in-line with client requirements and expectations.
  • Liaise with mining engineers, resource geologists, and specialists from other disciplines and offices within WSP.
  • Support the technical delivery of work by more junior engineers.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 6+ years' experience in a mining engineering role, ideally with time in consulting.
  • Strong technical background in mine planning and design (open cut and/or underground).
  • Excellent communication skills, strong report writing skills and solid analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Solid understanding of the Australian mining landscape and regulatory framework.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
