A regional hospital in tropical northern Queensland is seeking a dedicated FCICM Intensivist to join its growing department.With a 17-bed adult and paediatric ICU, this unit admits over 800 patients annually, including a significant number of complex medical, surgical, cardiac, trauma, and obstetric cases. The team includes 4 FTE ICU Consultants, well-supported by a full registrar and RMO roster, with a strong emphasis on education, supervision, and exam preparation. The unit holds CICM accreditation (C6) for Foundation and Elective training, with access to terms in Anaesthetics, Clinical Medicine (Cardiology), and Retrieval (by arrangement).Location:Just 1h flight from Brisbane, this lovely town offers an enviable lifestyle with a true work-life balance in a warm, tropical setting. - Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (FCICM)
- SIMG deemed substantially comparable may be considered
- Commitment to education, supervision, and high-quality clinical care
- Interest in Echo, education, research, or rural/Indigenous health is welcomed
- A salary between $210,332 - $244,313 (L18-L24)
- A salary between $251,527 - $528,464 (L25-L27)
