The mental health clinician will deliver a high quality, comprehensive mental health service for adults experiencing serious and enduring mental health difficulties. The role involves managing a defined caseload with a focus on working with individuals who experience a complex range of needs and difficulties. Acting as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, the mental health clinician will provide assessment and evidence-based interventions using a collaborative, recovery approach and will be skilled at positive risk management. Working closely in collaboration with carers and families, and liaison with a wide range of agencies is central to the role.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or eligibility for membership with AASW and current NSW Drivers Licence.
- Proven clinical experience in community mental health services and evidence of effective planning, implementation and evaluation, and care coordinating complex mental health consumers.
- Proven experience in evidence of writing NDIS reports, mental health review tribunal reports, effective care planning, implementation and evaluation of consumer goals, and effective liaison with community managed organisations.
