- Domestic Assistance (major component of role): Support clients with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, mopping, vacuuming, shopping, and light meal preparation, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Personal Care: Assist with showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, medication prompting, and general hygiene needs, delivered with dignity and respect.
- Individual Social Support: Provide companionship, assist with shopping, transport to essential appointments, and help clients remain connected to their community.
- Respite Care: Provide in-home or community-based respite to support carers while ensuring clients remain safe and engaged.
- Wellbeing Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients’ health and wellbeing to support independence and safety.
- Team Contribution: Collaborate with colleagues, attend staff meetings, and participate in training and development.
- Administration: Maintain accurate and timely records to ensure quality service delivery and compliance.
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care and supporting older people and younger people with disabilities.
- Physically fit and able to perform everyday tasks such as vacuuming, lifting, and practical household support.
- Knowledge of CHSP and HACC-PYP principles, including independence, wellbeing, social inclusion, and carer support.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification) or relevant experience.
- Current Level II First Aid Certificate & CPR.
- Current valid Victorian Drivers licence and access to a safe and appropriately registered and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for the purpose of transporting clients.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
- Available to work between Monday and Saturday 7am and 7pm, weekends, public holidays and irregular hours as service requires
