Must come from a chippy background. Our client is an established and highly regarded head contrcator who are now seeking an experienced Leading Head to join their professional and highly experienced team based in Sydney. Project you will be working on is vary from $5m - $45m across residential, hotel, commercial, government projects and more. As the Leading Hand, you will be responsible for managing sub-contractors, coordinating site personnel and for the management of all on site logistics, quality, OH&S and keeping the job to short term program. You will be reporting to the Site Manager. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Preparation of construction programmes and oversee / coordinate daily works Managing sub contractors and trades Prepare and action defects report Ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and to a high quality standard Liaise with client and Project Manager to ensure construction programme is adhered to Qualifications and Requirements: Trade background or degree qualification Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience working, ideially for a tier 2/3 head contractor Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven people management skills with the ability to motivate and drive teams Team player who can lead by example Possess a solid work history with long tenure in roles Experience in MS Project would be highly regarded but not essential This is a permanent full time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and career progression.
