The Sydney-based Fixed Income team manages A$27 billion in cash and fixed income assets on behalf of Australian and global investors, making it one of the largest fixed income managers in Australia.We are seeking a self-driven and motivated individual to join the Australian fixed income investment team as a Portfolio Manager.The key responsibilities for the role include:

Translation, implementation and monitoring of fixed income investment strategy across a number of fixed income portfolios;
Monitoring of portfolios for compliance with mandate guidelines, risk profile and investment objectives;
Evaluation of portfolio performance and attribution;
Assist with input regarding portfolio activity to client reports and other communications.

UBS RecruitingYour teamYou'll be working as a member of the Australian Fixed Income team in Sydney, Australia. Our team is responsible for managing approximately AUD27 billion of institutional and wholesale client money across an array of different fixed income mandates.Your expertise

Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related disciplines. CFA and/or Masters degree would be beneficial;
At least 5 - 10 years' experience in an asset management or a financial services firm, with exposure/solid familiarity with fixed income and ideally derivatives markets;
Excellent knowledge of macroeconomics and fixed Income strategies in particular of Australian fixed income strategies;
Strong attention to detail, numeracy and ability to work to deadlines;
Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and written communication of a reasonably technical nature;
Ability to assimilate information from an array of sources and a deep interest in investment markets;
Any quantitative / programming skills are of advantage
