- Conduct audit fieldwork with accuracy and attention to detail
- Support audit planning and reporting, including risk analysis and documenting findings
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and gain agreement on audit actions
- Maintain and monitor the audit actions register and prepare status reports
- Stay informed on business risks and collaborate with risk and compliance teams
- Contribute to the annual Internal Audit Plan and governance reporting
- Educate staff on risk and control practices and support process improvements
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, training requirements and WHS standards
- Escalate concerns and constructively challenge where needed
- Tertiary qualifications and CIA, CPA, CA or other relevant accreditation (or working towards)
- Experience in internal audit or risk management within financial services
- Strong skills in risk and control assessment, report writing and stakeholder engagement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analytics tools to enhance audit practices
- Ability to critically analyse information and manage time effectively under pressure
- High integrity, customer focus and commitment to quality standards
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and defuse tension
- Understanding of Bank Australia's values and a drive to deliver meaningful results
