As an industry leader and employer of choice, we're Made for More.WesTrac is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Plant Mechanic to join our General Construction division in Tomago.Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you'll play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of machinery for our valued customers in the construction and civil sectors. From mid-sized excavators to backhoes and loaders, you'll apply your technical expertise to deliver high-quality service and support, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.A Field Service position with WesTrac requires sound Caterpillar product knowledge and a demonstrated ability to build customer relationships. Great diagnostic skills, commitment to safety and ability to manage your workload will see you succeed as a member of our Field Service Crew.Roster and Remuneration

Monday to Friday roster
Tool of trade vehicle, mobile and laptop supplied
Hourly rates from $53+, Overtime rates from $80+

Cert III Mobile Plant Technology or Heavy Vehicle trade required
Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery essential
Proven experience/industry exposure
Attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standards.
Exposure to SIS or ET (highly desirable)
Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously in the field and in a team
Current drivers licence
