As the Senior Lecturer and Principal Specialty Supervisor in General Practice, you will play a pivotal leadership role in delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching to UQ medical students at the Bundaberg Regional Clinical Unit. At UQ, you’ll be part of a vibrant academic community that values collaboration, innovation, and the development of future medical professionals in regional Queensland.Key responsibilities will include:Teaching: Lead the academic delivery of General Practice across all four years of the MD program, including teaching, assessment, curriculum enhancement, and mentoring of clinical educators to ensure high-quality, inclusive learning experiences.Coordinate and optimise clinical placements and partnerships, working closely with local GPs, practices, and academic staff to secure quality learning environments and support student success through coaching, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.Research: Maintain personal academic excellence through active engagement in research and the scholarship of teaching and learning, while fostering a vibrant research culture within the Bundaberg RCU.Build research capacity by initiating and supporting collaborative projects with UQ academics, health service clinicians, and external partners to enhance the unit’s research profile and impact.Supervision and Researcher Development: Provide supervision to learners in area of expertise where feasible.For a full position description, please contact:This is a teaching focused position.
