AI Project Execution & Delivery - Lead and manage AI projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of solutions. Oversee technical development, model deployment, and AI system integration.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management - Act as the primary client contact for projects, ensuring alignment with business needs. Support Senior Managers in expanding client relationships.
Team Leadership & Development - Manage and mentor AI professionals within project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
AI Innovation & Best Practices - Contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI methodologies and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
Business Development Support - Assist Senior Managers in identifying business opportunities, developing proposals, and contributing to Deloitte's AI thought leadership..

At least 6 years' experience data engineering, feature engineering and/or model development using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques
Experience leading and developing technical teams
Demonstrated ability to delivercomplex Data and AI projects
Experience working with one or more AI, ML or other advanced analytics framework (such as scikit-learn, tensorflow, Keras, openCV, spaCy)
Demonstrable experience of one or more relevant programming languages e.g. Python, R, Julia
Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Governance, Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) and project management skills will be highly desirable
Experience with cloud services (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
Experience of different project life cycles and delivery methodologies (waterfall, scrum, agile)
Demonstrable experience working in a consulting environment or managing non-technical stakeholders
Government (ideally Federal Government and Defence) experience will be highly regarded
Bachelor or MS degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar quantitative disciplines.
Australian Citizenship required
Federal Government security clearance is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Educational Background - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (AI, cloud, project management) are beneficial.
Technical Expertise - Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages, experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Client & Communication Skills - Strong ability to translate technical AI concepts into business insights and communicate with stakeholders at various levels.
Project & Team Management - Proven track record of leading AI project teams, managing timelines, budgets, and risks. Experience in Agile methodologies is a plus.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 years' experience in advanced data and analytics environments, including leadership roles and client-facing positions. Proven track record in managing and delivering AI projects across various industries.
