Access theAbout the roleFixed term temporary part time opportunity to work with the STARS Director Anaesthesia in the operational leadership and governance of the Department that promotes streamlined care. To provide high-quality specialist anaesthetic, analgesic, preadmission, acute pain and other related services for patients undergoing procedures at STARS, including supervision to medical staff and other multidisciplinary staff in the delivery of comprehensive clinical care that fosters a positive culture of collaboration.About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
  • Providing high quality expert consultation and advice directly to patients, other colleagues and including to GPs.
  • Demonstrating ethical practice and decision making – in both clinical and non-clinical areas, including fulfilling all responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, and the Queensland Public Service Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Being aware of, and complying with legislation that applies to your area, as well as contributing to, and following QH, HHS and Local Policies and Procedures as published from time to time.
  • Overseeing supervision of other medical staff and fellows to assist in their professional development and to be a professional role model for them.
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and empathy in dealings with colleagues and patients/clients as well as external stakeholders.
