Our client is seeking a HSE Business Partner to join their Sydney team which will be based out of head office and not on site. You will be reporting to the Group Head of HSE and play a key role in shaping HSE strategy, developing processes, and driving improvements across the business. The role is ideal for a self-starter with extensive HSE experience in the construction industry (or associated/aligned industries), who thrives on building relationships, influencing safety initiatives, and delivering practical solutions to improve project outcomes. This is a head office HSE role however there will be touch points across site HSE teams as well as internally withing the various parts of the group business divisions. You will be responsible for: • Developing and enhancing the safety culture across projects • Preparing and presenting reports, papers, and presentations for stakeholders at all levels • Proactively addressing key HSE priorities and providing clear, consistent guidance • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence positive outcomes The ideal candidate will have: •Tertiary qualifications in HSE, Construction, or related discipline • Extensive experience in HSE ideally within construction, preferably Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor experience. (Will also look at candidates from mining, defence, engineering, operations etc backgrounds that operate in a similar project like manner) • Strong knowledge of construction industry safety systems and processes • Exceptional presentation and communication skills • Proven ability to combine creativity with practical solutions for impactful HSE outcomes • Excellent stakeholder management skills with an ability to influence at all levels • Strong systems capability and an innovative mindset This is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
