This isn't just a job; it's a chance to join a groundbreaking facility from day one.You will play a vital role in implementing and embedding a stronger, more sustainable approach to supporting Aboriginal consumers in Mental Health Rehabilitation Services. This includes providing a cultural lens to rehabilitation services, delivering culturally safe care, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team in assessment and therapeutic interventions. Your expertise will guide the development of individualised, culturally safe and responsive rehabilitation plans and support meaningful engagement.About the role:Duties for the role will include:

  • Support cultural safety in practice and the provision of culturally responsive service delivery.
  • Offer therapeutic intervention, assessment, rehabilitation planning, and education.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, consumers, families, and supportive others to provide individual and group-based interventions.

  • Support cultural competency in practice and the provision of culturally appropriate service delivery.
  • Offer therapeutic intervention, assessment, rehabilitation planning, and education.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, consumers, families, and supportive others to provide individual and group-based interventions.
About you:
  • A Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) or equivalent.
  • Registered with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia (ATSIHPBA) (AHPRA) (if applying as a Aboriginal Health Practitioner)
  • Completed training and/or education within Mental Health or a related field.
  • Proven experience in engagement activities, clinical health assessment, treatment, referral, psychosocial support, advocacy, and record keeping for consumers with complex health issues.
