We pride ourselves on a collaborative, positive, and forward-thinking culture where every student has the opportunity to thrive.ROLE OVERVIEWWe are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Physical Education Teacher to join our team in 2025. This is a part-time, permanent position, however can be negotiated to full time for the right candidate.You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons aligned with the WA Curriculum, contributing to a dynamic sports culture across Years 7–12, and supporting student wellbeing through physical activity and pastoral care. A strong background or interest in basketball is highly regarded, with opportunities existing to contribute to specialist basketball programs.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver Physical Education programs in alignment with the WA Curriculum and School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) requirements.
- Incorporate inclusive and differentiated teaching practices to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Plan and implement effective learning experiences across both standard Physical and Specialist Physical Education streams.
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and student engagement strategies.
- Integrate Christian values into teaching and build positive relationships with students.
- Provide timely and meaningful feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate and current records of student participation, progress, and achievement.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork and continual improvement within the Health, Outdoor & Physical Education department.
- Support school events such as carnivals, interschool sport, and co-curricular activities.
- Demonstrate confidence using digital technologies in teaching and assessment.
- Engage fully in College life, including camps, excursions, and staff devotions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and year levels in pastoral and academic planning.
- Coach or support the development of school basketball teams or programs (highly desirable).
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church.
- Accept and align with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Beliefs, and educational philosophy.
- Hold appropriate teaching qualifications and registration with TRBWA.
- Demonstrated experience or training in Physical Education.
- Ability to foster student engagement and wellbeing through physical activity, human movement, sport, and Christian values.
- Hold a current MR or HR license or be willing to obtain a HR license.
- Experience in basketball coaching and/or player development.
- Experience in delivering or supporting high-performance or specialist sports programs.
- Willingness to teach Outdoor Education and Health would be considered advantageous.
- Hold a valid Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
