- Develop and deliver initiatives that enhance both student and institutional understanding of, and outcomes in, graduate employability.
- Provide one-on-one career counselling to prospective students, current students, and alumni (up to 18 months post-graduation).
- Coordinate and promote campus visits from potential graduate employers and facilitate graduate recruitment seminars.
- Collaborate with Faculties to offer guidance and resources related to in-curricular support and industry engagement, including student service learning, practicums, and internship experiences.
- Manage and utilise career software tools (e.g., CareerHub), including liaison with external vendors and ongoing evaluation of resources and user analytics.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate a range of career development workshops and resources to support students throughout their career journey.
- Partner with the Prospective Student Office and Admissions Office to provide careers advice at Open Day and other student-focused events.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or a related field, and/or completion of a Career Development Graduate Certificate endorsed by the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA), or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
- Experienced in a similar careers-focused role, preferably within an educational or tertiary environment.
- Ability to work independently under general direction, including leading projects within a team environment, taking ownership of outcomes, and seeing tasks through from initiation to completion.
- Proficient in using computer software platforms and experienced with career service platforms such as CareerHub or Abintegro.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to engage and influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential information, with a sound understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
