As a Warehouse Manager for our chilled and frozen food distribution centre in Moorebank, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our warehouse facility. Your primary focus will be on managing the storage, handling, and distribution of chilled and frozen food products to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records of all chilled and frozen food products.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimise losses and ensure optimal stock levels.
- Coordinate regular stock checks and audits to verify inventory accuracy.
- Supervise warehouse staff and ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of chilled and frozen food products.
- Optimise warehouse layout and storage systems to maximise space utilisation and efficiency.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to uphold product freshness and integrity.
- Monitor temperature-controlled storage areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Investigate and address any quality issues or customer complaints promptly.
- Plan and coordinate the efficient routing of deliveries to customers while minimising transportation costs.
- Liaise with transport providers to schedule deliveries and ensure timely fulfilment of orders.
- Monitor delivery performance and address any issues or delays as they arise.
- Provide leadership and guidance to warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Maintain a safe and positive work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the food distribution industry.
- Familiarity with chilled and frozen food storage requirements and best practices.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of inventory management software and systems.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as required.
- Relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field are desirable.
