A growing owner-operator within the gold mining sector is seeking an experienced Critical Communications & Operational Technology Specialist to support its expanding Kalgoorlie-based operations. This permanent, full-time position plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing digital communications and IT/OT infrastructure across multiple open-pit mining sites.
- FIFO from Perth / Kalgoorlie resident - 8:6 Roster, day shift only
- High autonomy in a technically diverse, hands-on role
- BAU work + project work as sites grow
- Permanent, full-time role
- Up to $140K + Super + Bonuses + Private Health Cover
- Administer, maintain and support digital radio systems (Hytera and Motorola), repeaters and UHF radios
- Manage LTE and Wi-Fi networks across multiple operational sites
- Support machine guidance systems and fleet management tools such as WencoLite and Trimble
- Install and configure safety and production video monitoring systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT/OT outages to minimise operational disruption
- Lead system upgrades and expansions in line with operational growth
- Full Australian working rights – this position offers no form of Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance
- Demonstrated experience in operational technology or industrial field communications
- Hands-on expertise with:
- Digital radio systems (Hytera / Motorola)
- LTE & Wi-Fi networks
- Cisco WAN, routing & switching
- Fleet management systems
- Machine guidance systems
- NTRIP / GNSS
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- Previous experience working across multiple sites or remote operations
- Relevant qualifications in IT, communications, engineering, or related field
- Valid WA “C” class driver’s licence
- Senior First Aid (desirable)
