Are you an experienced internal communications professional ready to make an impact? We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Communications Advisor to lead internal communications and drive employee engagement for the Winu Project, helping build a strong sense of connection, purpose and shared identity among our people.
What you’ll be doing:

Develop and deliver engaging internal communications for the Winu Project.
Craft clear, inspiring project messaging for employees across Rio Tinto.
Create and manage content for a variety of channels – email updates, Element, Viva Engage, newsletters, Town Hall briefings and more.
Partner closely with Winu Leadership to align and cascade messaging.
Foster a culture of storytelling and recognition – think RockStars and fresh ideas!
Bring a continuous improvement mindset and support change communication for key milestones.
Equip leaders and managers with the tools and confidence to communicate well.

What you’ll bring:

Proven experience in internal communications, ideally in projects or the resources sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to make the complex clear.
Experience running employee engagement initiatives and using engagement platforms.
A people-first, curious mindset with a passion for clear, transparent communication.
Creativity, confidence and a strong sense of narrative and storytelling.
A collaborative, can-do attitude and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
Crisis communications experience is a bonus.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference, connect people and help shape the Winu Project’s story.Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
