About the roleThis position is a permanent full-time role in the Parks and Recreation Services team, based at Moruya. The successful candidate will implement, review and maintain the hazardous materials management framework within Council. Initially, the focus will be on managing asbestos in Council facilities, including implementing new guidelines and policies. The role involves close collaboration with the Work Health and Safety, Risk and Facilities teams, and managing relationships with external service providers and internal stakeholders.The starting salary for this position is $98,434.39 per annum plus 12% superannuation.To view the full salary information, list of duties and prerequisites, please view the .About youYou have a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, industrial hygiene or science, building construction, or environmental health. You are experienced in, or capable of, developing and implementing management plans for hazardous materials, including asbestos. Your application will further demonstrate:
Experience in managing relationships with external contractors.
A high level of oral and written communication skills with the ability to brief all levels of staff and management.
The ability to work autonomously to meet and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Sound computing skills including use of MS Office.
