
Senior Manager - Statutory Reporting - Oceania - APAC

- Prepare, reconcile, and consolidate monthly BAS, FBT, tax schedules, and statutory accounts to meet ATO and ASIC deadlines.
- Ensure full compliance with Australian tax laws and manage individual tax returns across tax groups.
- Coordinate and prepare monthly financial reports, monitor performance, and assist with year-end accounts and audits.
- Support preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Lead, train, and develop finance staff to ensure competency and succession planning.
- Drive process improvements, supervise team work, provide accounting advice, and assist with audits and terminal finance support.
- Monitor financial performance across operating divisions and provide variance analysis.
- Deliver timely and relevant reports to management, including monthly reports to Head Office and the APAC regional office.
- Support the year-end accounting process and external audit requirements.
- Degree in Accounting and professional qualification (CPA, CA) with 10 years' experience in statutory accounting and tax, heavy industry background is desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage demanding deadlines and confidential information.
- Experience with accounting software (Oracle Fusion preferred) and year-end account preparation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including budget preparation and consolidation.
- Proven leadership experience, preferably in a multinational organisation.
- Experience managing month-end and year-end financial close processes
- Strong financial analysis skills and attention to detail for variance reporting and risk assessment
- Ability to present complex financial and tax concepts to non-finance stakeholders
