At St Michael’s our values of Dignity, Respect, Care and Compassion underpin all that we do and are.The roleWe are looking for an exceptional Music Teacher to deliver engaging teaching, learning and caring programs as part of our Music faculty across Kindergarten to Year 6 from Term 4, 2025.Demonstrated high level classroom teaching skills and the ability to plan and deliver engaging learning programs are essential.We’re excited to explore the strengths of candidates and their capacity to contribute to the program. Applicants with choral/ensemble conducting and/or piano accompaniment experience are encouraged to apply.The successful applicant will be aligned with the School’s ethos, vision and values. Be a qualified teacher with a suitable tertiary qualification in Education and Music.
Have experience teaching Music from Kindergarten to Year 6
Have a demonstrated history engaging with current music pedagogy, specifically the Kodaly method
Champion inclusive education and student voice, ensuring all students are supported and inspired in the Performing Arts classroom
Be a passionate advocate for creativity and embracing innovation for the benefit of young learners.
Be willing to contribute to the co-curricular music program and events
