- Deliver a range of agreed pre- and post-award support to faculty staff for external grant
- opportunities, including preparation of budgets for grant proposals, compliance advice, reviewing submissions.
- Provide administrative support for internal research funding schemes (faculty and school).
- Ensure responsive and high-quality analysis and reporting on agreed research metrics across the faculty, including annual publications reporting (AROC), rankings and other key reports.
- Advise academic staff on research funding opportunities, including interpretation of funding rules and relevance to faculty research strengths.
- Assist in maintaining the faculty research support triaging system, managing the shared mailbox, responding to queries and communicating key information and opportunities to ADA staff.
- Assist with the development and implementation of research governance procedures.
- Provide secretariate support for the Faculty Research Committee and associated working groups.
- Maintain faculty internal research data and information systems, including the Research Portfolio share point and team's site.
- Assist the Faculty Research Support Manager with a range of agreed projects as required.
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
- Proven ability to work in a high volume, process driven environment with variable workflow patterns and to fixed deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and advising on policy and procedure documents, particularly within a research management context (e.g. funding guidelines).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Ability to plan, organise and co-ordinate projects and tasks to meet agreed outcomes and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to identify risk and suggest improvements of processes and systems. Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
