
Senior Business Analyst - FinOps

- Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
- Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Create detailed user stories (in JIRA) to support delivery.
- Mentor/train team members; participate and contribute to business analyst chapter and/or forums providing insights and thought leadership
- Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.
- FinOps Knowledge: Experience or certification in FinOps practices is highly desirable
- Cloud & Container Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or containerisation technologies
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles and experience working in finance-related roles or environments.
- Minimum 5 years Business Analysis experience in a project/delivery orientated role, from a large organisation.
- Minimum 3 years' Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation.
- Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference.
- Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines.
