As a Program Scheduler on our team, you will be responsible for task management and enterprise execution of the Program’s site Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). This role involves developing and managing schedules, aggregating schedules from other contracts, and preparing performance metrics in conjunction with project managers. You will provide detailed and accurate reports and data sets with short turnaround times, leveraging familiarity with work breakdown structures.This position is located in Alice Springs, Australia.Responsibilities:
- Meet with project teams, change managers, and service integrators to develop baseline schedules, updates, and recovery schedules.
- Track and update schedules from project inception to completion.
- Prepare and explain performance metrics for program management.
- Routinely monitor and provide awareness of schedule milestones and deliverables for all project phases.
- Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with Government standards of best practice.
- Organize, implement, and maintain scheduling management systems to support identified projects and their plans.
- Assist in setting up tasks and sub-tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project requirements as scheduled.
- Interact with customers and project staff to schedule work and coordinate assignments.
- Maintain and assist with project schedules.
- Define scope of work with project teams to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information, and identification of variances from the original plan.
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance, identifying developing problem areas.
- Analyze critical paths and constraints to determine effects of changes to schedules and recommend workarounds.
- Develop and update weekly short-interval schedules in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Support stakeholders in maintaining timely and effective change management processes, procedures, and systems.
- Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery for slipped schedules.
- Assist teams in developing and maintaining periodic status reports to keep management informed on program progress.
- Identify and communicate significant schedule risks to staff and management.
- Document identified project risks, mitigations, and outcomes based on team input.
Required :
- Bachelor’s degree (Arts or Science) in a related field equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with project scheduling using Microsoft Project or similar commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) scheduling tools.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
- Ability to facilitate meetings with Program and Government personnel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updates.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Product Suite, including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with using Confluence/JIRA
- Ability to prepare and conduct briefings to diverse audiences.
- Ability to create project documentation.
