- Monitor and enforce hygiene, GMP, and food safety standards, providing corrective feedback as required.
- Ensure production output meets specifications and that all QA records are completed and signed off.
- Conduct internal QA testing, including pH, allergen, titration, and sodium testing.
- Assist with product release by preparing Certificates of Conformance (CoC) for customers.
- Support quality audits and ensure compliance with food safety programs.
- Address internal audit non-conformances and assist with action plans.
- Participate in product trials and sensory evaluations.
- Collect retention samples and oversee allergen management, sanitation, traceability, and supplier approvals.
- Verify supplier food safety accreditation in line with the Approved Supplier Program.
- Document and maintain procedures that ensure consistent product quality and compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Investigate customer complaints and food safety incidents, implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure the Quality Management System aligns with HACCP, FSSC 22000, and other certification requirements.
- 2-4 years of experience in Quality Assurance role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Australian Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of HACCP systems and ISO standards.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
