- Under broad direction, undertake finance activities such as the timely and accurate preparation of:
- Periodical and ad-hoc financial reports.
- Raising of invoices
- Budget and forecast reporting and analysis.
- Revenue and expense data collection; analysis and compliance checks.
- Existing finance systems maintenance and testing.
- New finance system and business process design and testing.
- Provide training to our stakeholders on existing system
- Journals, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and support in the preparation of acquittals to external granting agencies within specified deadlines in order to meet requirements of funding agreements.
- Support in the completion of the financial data table and analysis of the Higher Ed research data collection of (HERDC/NHMRC/ARC).
- Work collaboratively with members of the Budgets, Reporting and Business Support group and provide cross functional team support.
- Degree or equivalent with subsequent relevant experience to consolidate the theories and principles learned, or extensive experience, leading to either the development of specialist expertise or to the development of broad knowledge in an administrative field, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team.
- High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
