Payroll Lead

Lawson Elliott is excited to be partnering with an outstanding organisation who is looking to welcome a confident and experienced Payroll Lead to join their team on an initial 3mth contract, with views to go permanent! This company is going through considerable growth and is looking for someone to take their business to the next level. This will be an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate, well driven and has a willingness to develop and succeed in a fast-paced environment.Reporting to the Financial Control Manager, your key responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

Manage the Payroll function for over 350 employees, ensuring all payroll obligations are met with accuracy
Be the primary point of contact for all payroll operations
Interpret and implement existing EA’s, ensuring all employees are being paid correctly
Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of documented payroll procedures
Collaborate with the People & Culture team to administer new starters, terminations and other employee changes
Interpret and apply correct tax and superannuation legislation calculations
Manage day-to-day cash requirements of the business
Oversee administration of company credit cards
Prepare finance month-end calculations for cash and debt
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

To be considered for this role, it would be advantageous to have:

At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role
Experience using software packages such as SAP highly desirable
Knowledge and understanding of Treasury procedures desirable
Strength in system implementations or transition
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent knowledge around Industrial Awards and Agreements
