We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Salesforce Engineer to lead the documentation of our entire Salesforce environment. This role is critical for ensuring transparency, maintainability, and scalability of our Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Salesforce architecture, metadata, and integrations, and a passion for creating clear, comprehensive documentation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a full audit of the existing Salesforce environment, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, custom objects, Apex code, Flows, and integrations.
  • Document all metadata components: objects, fields, validation rules, workflows, process builders, flows, Apex classes/triggers, and Lightning components.
  • Create architecture diagrams, data models, and system interaction maps.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of third-party integrations, APIs, and middleware.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized documentation repository.
  • Collaborate with Admins, Developers, and Business Analysts to ensure documentation reflects current and future-state architecture.
  • Establish documentation standards and best practices for ongoing Salesforce development and change management.
  • Provide training and onboarding materials for new team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Engineer or Developer.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, configuration, and development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools.
  • Excellent written communication and technical writing skills.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools.
  • Salesforce certifications are a plus.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in regulated industries or environments with strict documentation requirements.
